PPA
Ownership
A solar PPA is an arrangement where the homeowner allows a company to install solar panels on their property. The owner only pays for the power they use. PPAs range in length but can be as long as the panels' lifetime on the home. Instead of a customer purchasing the solar panels, the homeowner doesn't have any responsibility; Solar Savings Solutions LLC maintains them.
Solar ownership is when the property owner pays for the complete upfront project cost and takes full responsibility for the system. The homeowners in MA/RI/CT get the 30% ITC ( solar Investment Tax Credit ) and receive a state monthly amount for ten years.
Cash option
Paying cash allows you to enjoy your solar savings immediately. Homeowners are required to write a check for 50% of the job when you sign your agreement. The other 50% is due when the panels are installed on the roof.
